BTEC Qualifications are recognized by employers and education institutions.

The BTEC First Diploma in Business is a one year course and is equivalent to 4 GCSE, Grades A* - C

Course Structure:

Students are required to complete three Core units and
Specialist units.

The Three Core Units:

1. Exploring Business Purposes

2.  Developing Customer Relations

3. Investigating Financial Control

Students then select three Specialist units from:

1. Business Communication

2. People in Organisation

3. Providing Business & Administration Support

4. Personal Selling

5. Doing Business Online

6. Exploring Business Enterprise

7. Starting a Small Business

Assessment:

Assessment is continuous and allows students to progress and build on success.

5 units -     Internal Assessment Portfolio of Work

1 unit -       External Assessment

               Coursework Assignments

Progression:

This qualification offers an excellent progression route to Advanced courses and employment.
