Personal and Social Education The new pupil will have to get to know new friends, new teachers, a new building and, above all, get used to the new sensation of those around being older and bigger. It is important, therefore, to establish right from the start, that each child is known and cared for as an individual in his or her own right. Our year system provides continuous, personal, social and academic support. It gives a secure framework within which good learning can take place. The Form Tutor will build a close relationship with every child and their parents. The Form Tutors stay with their group for five years. The Year Head is responsible for monitoring, supporting and developing on each child's academic progress and attitude to work. Health, environmental and social education are also dealt with by the Form Tutor. |
