The National Curriculum
The National Curriculum for students aged 11-14years
(Key Stage 3) and 14-16years (Key Stage
4) is extended to include the performing arts and
a wide choice of foreign languages.
In year 7 lessons are taught in form groups. Some
setting takes place in particular subjects. All Year
7 Students participate in a structured Library programme.
We have a special programme for students of
marked ability throughout the school, which
includes additional tutorials for Sixth Form Oxbridge candidates.
Some students are given extra literacy and
numeracy lessons rather than pursuing a second
language

KEY STAGE FOUR
YEARS 10 AND 11
(14-16
YEARS)
As required by the National Curriculum all
students continue with the following subjects throughout Key Stage
Four:
In addition students may choose from the
following groupings:

Humanities
(History and/or Geography)

Performing Arts (Dance, Drama or Music or
a combination)

Art (Painting, printmaking, sculpture etc)

Business Studies / ICT
The school also offers vocational courses which link with local
colleges and industry at
