ADMISSION TO ELLIOTT

 

Specialist Places:

Up to 21 places are allocated on the basis of an aptitude for Modern Foreign Languages. These places are offered after written
and oral assessment of aptitude.

Applicants need to complete a supplementary information form if they wish to be considered for a specialist place. Those not
offered a specialist place are automatically considered for a place under the general admissions criteria.


General Places:

189 places (or more in the event of fewer than 21 specialist places being allocated), are allocated as follows:

Applicants are placed in one of five equal sized ability groups A – E (where A = top 20%, B = the next 20% and so on) according
to their scores in the Wandsworth Year 6 Test. Where applications for admissions exceed the number of places available, places
are offered within each ability group in the following order of priority:

(i) Looked after children;

(ii) Children with a professionally supported acute medical need or exceptional social need for a place at the school,
as decided by the Governing Body, advised by the Wandsworth Council School Placement Panel

(iii) Children who have a sibling attending the school on the date of admission;

(iv) Children living nearest to the school by the shortest walking route with street lighting as measured from the home
to the school by the Wandsworth Council Geographical Information System.
