We are very pleased to announce that the school has been awarded a Certificate
by the Specialist Schools and Academies Trust in recognition of our achievements
in 2007.

The presentation will take place at the SSAT celebratory dinner for the most
improved specialist schools and academies.

We fall into this category based on a 10 point increase in our  2007 5+A*-C  GCSE
results and 5*+A*-C with English and maths scores which hit the national average.

Events at Elliott School
The Elliott XL Groups’ Tea Party was a big success, with over 20 elderly people from a local nursing home attending. It was supported by a grant from the Prince’s Trust and held in the library. The visitors enjoyed conversation along with a cup of tea, sandwiches and cakes. We had a raffle with Easter eggs and flowers for prizes and there were several very happy winners. The tables were beautifully decorated with flower arrangements and the event was accompanied with light entertainment from a professional string quartet. We have established links with the events organisers at Ashmead Care Centre and are planning to hold further events.
