October 13th
Dear
Parents, Carers and Students,
Following
my letter to you dated 3rd
September 2008 I would like to remind you of some key events
which are happening during the Autumn Term.
As stated
in my previous letter our focus for the year is as follows:
-
Rewarding students who work hard
-
Increasing student responsibility, leadership and voice
-
Developing our design options for a new or refurbished building
under the Building Schools for the Future programme
-
Continuing to improve Standards of Achievement for all students
-
Targeting and providing support programmes to ensure all
students achieve their best
-
Extending our International dimension as a Language College
-
Continuing to improve attendance, punctuality and behaviour.
It is
most important for school and home to work in partnership to achieve
the best education for your child.
Our
website will continue to be our main communication channel for
keeping parents up to date with life at Elliott and gaining
your thoughts and views on the developments at Elliott School.
The
website is updated on a weekly basis with students and parents news,
articles, thought for the week, recent achievements and new school
policies.
Please
ensure you return the Student Information Update form which was
recently given to your child to bring home. Please ensure details
are up to date and that mobile numbers and e-mail addresses are
included on the form. If for any reason you did not receive this
form please contact the school so another form can be sent to you.
This
term, as usual has many events and activities arranged. Please find
overleaf a list of important dates. Additional events will be posted
on the school website.
